Are you Developing your Teams right now? UPDATED
Demand for team development programs has greatly increased!
I continually receive requests from leaders that have an interest in team development programs. I think that the surge in demand is caused by many businesses still trying to navigate what this new normal is in terms of team structure, location, and process. Teams and organizations seem to shift from in person, to hybrid to 100% in person, and we will have to watch to see which formats tend to stick.
Are your teams working 100% remote? 100% on site? Hybrid? Do you have new members of the team that need to be integrated into your culture? Have your teams shifted in size? Have many new people been added during the pandemic that haven't met their teammates in person? All these reasons are behind this increase in wanting to do programs to help team members build relationships and connect.
Recent client requests include team building and assessments, simulations, team coaching, or fun, team bonding experiences to build relationships between team members and their leader(s). For over 20 years, my career has focused on building effective and successful teams. When I was 18 years old in high school I discovered team building in our Project Adventure programs as part of our physical education classes. These included team building activities, along with a high and low ropes course and challenge.
