1. What information do we collect and what do we do with it?
When you share or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name and email address.
Email marketing: we may send you emails about our site, survey you about your usage, or collect your opinion.
2. How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information on our site or make a purchase, you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
3. How do I withdraw my consent?
If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting us at privacy@sarahscala.com
4. Disclosure
Generally, we do not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent, with the exception of the following circumstances:
a. We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so
b. In order to enforce our rights if you violate our Terms of Service.
c. We may disclose your information to third parties that work with us in order to provide you with the products and services provided here.
Any information disclosed will be used solely in connection with these uses and for no other purpose.
5. Payment:
If you make a purchase on our site, we use a third-party payment processor such as Stripe or PayPal. Payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. We do not have access to the information that you furnish to the third-party payment processor. We are not responsible for any use or misuse of the information by the processor. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our site and its service providers.
6. MailChimp and other Third-Party Services: Links
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
Our newsletter is hosted by MailChimp. They provide us with an online platform that allows us to store our newsletter.
Your data is stored through Mailchimp’s data storage and databases. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
However, Mailchimp and certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. When you click on links on our newsletter, they may direct you away from our site.
For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers. Certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.
7. Security
No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

7. Termination
Any breach of these Terms of Use automatically terminates your authorized use of the Site. Subject to the rights of Sarah A. Scala Consulting has the right to terminate earlier as provided in section 2. Length of Use. Sarah A. Scala Consulting reserves the right in our discretion to refuse, remove, or restrict your access, and terminate your use of this site at any time, for any reason.
8. Applicable Law
The Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the state of Massachusetts, USA. Any dispute that arises relating to this Agreement shall be settled by arbitration in Massachusetts, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, provided that discovery shall be governed by the civil procedure rules of Massachusetts or any successor statute, and judgment upon the award rendered may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. User agrees to waive any objection to the jurisdiction of such venue or any right to trial by jury. Failure to enforce strict performance of the Terms of Use of Use shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. Sarah A. Scala Consulting may assign its rights and duties under the Terms of Use without notice to any party at any time.
9. Effective Date and Updates
